OMG, Sandie..what a scary experience, but thank god there were no flames! On the flip side, you inadvertently made you’re own smoker, huh? You could have smoke your own Bavarian smokies! Just kidding!! You can joke about these things once it’s over, no one was a hurt and nothing was damaged, outside of some chickpeas! That bread is stunning…I love the addition of the Bavarian smokies, cheddar and chives. This bread is dinner in itself..perfect with the salad, I’m sure

Well, I thought I would say a nice Happy Birthday to you through your blog, but then I got on and read your article and I’m sorry but . . . how old are you today??? What’s gonna happen when you are as old as me??? You know it must run in the family because I have burned countless numbers of pots of water for tea on the stove – until we finally bought a hot pot with auto turnoff. You made me laugh so hard but only because I know you are all okay! I’m sure you will be living with your windows all open for a while to get out the stentch. Hope the insurance company is good to ya’ll and you end up with lots of nice new furniture and clothes!! And Happy Birthday!! Love, Steph & Nat
